SERVICES



At Godspeed we feel it is important that our clients know what we can do for them. To help you better understand the capactiy of our operations we have provided a basic outline for review.

URGENT POINT-TO-POINT DELIVERY VIA BICYCLES AND PICK-UP TRUCKS.
Same Day. Our courier will pick up your package from one location and deliver it to another within the time parameter specified. Proof of delivery available upon request. Order by phone.

ATTORNEY SERVICES
Court Filings, Service of Process, Research, Recordings, Levies, Faxed orders.
We request that you attach a job request form to all attorney service jobs you give us. This helps us to ensure that your important work is handled exactly as you specify. [Download Job Request Form]

BIKEABLE PACKAGES
Envelopes, Documents, Books, Folders, Small Boxes, Architecture Rolls, Film, Prints, Disks, CD's, Laptop, and other small objects.

VEHICLE PACKAGES
Boxes too large or heavy for a bike, Small Furniture, Photo equipment. Packaged Merchandise.

LIMITS
We operate with 2 standard pick-up trucks and 1 standard van. [pics] A larger size comercial van is available with advance notice only. We will accomodate anything that can fit in our trucks and is well packaged. Our drivers can use blankets to soften the ride and can tie down items for stability, but they do not supply extra packing materials for delicate items such as glass, mirrors, fresh painted materials, and food.

WE ARE NOT MOVERS
Since we specialize in urgent on-demand orders, we can only accommodate those orders that allow us to provide timely deliveries across the board. There is only one driver per vehicle, and our drivers can not spend the majority of their time loading and unloading. If your items will not fit in one truckload, we can not guarantee the additional trips will be returned for immediately.

With advanced notice, a commercial size van may be arranged. Subject to availability.

 
ORDERING



PROPER LABELING
Please have the following pieces of information on the package:
Recipients Name.
Complete Address. Specifiy St., Rd., Avenue, Way, etc...and suite number (if applicable).
City and zip code, if outside of San Francisco.
Phone numbers are very helpful (especially if it's going to a skyscraper).
Return information. If no one is available to receive or sign for the package, we can call you.

If you work for a big company, more than likely you have many people going in and out of your front lobby or checking in at the reception desk every day. Mail carriers, FEDEX, UPS, employees, and associated vendors. If you do not want your package to get mixed up in the shuffle, it needs to be identifiable. Your package needs to be labeled properly to guarantee it can be delivered in a timely manner.

PACKAGE YOUR ITEMS AS IF YOU ARE MAILING THEM.
The good news is you don't have to go anywhere to send it out!

CALLING GODSPEED COURIER
We strive to make it a painless experience when you call us for a pick up. We also want you to feel confident that the order will be taken care of the second you put down the phone. Some delivery orders can be easy and others complicated. Having ALL the pertinent information, at the time of your call, will always save you the most time when ordering your delivery.

When you call us, think of the answers to the following questions in this order:

• OUR BILLING: Your Name and Company?
• PICK UP: Where is the pick up location? From your office or elsewhere?
• ITEM: What is the item for pick up?
• FROM: Who is the contact person?
• TO: Where is the delivery location?
• HOW FAST: When do you need it there by?
• YOUR BILLING: Job reference? Could be a PO number, agent name, client ID, etc...

This is the basic format for our data input process. Remembering this order will make your phone call a breeze.

As much as we want to take care of your needs as soon as possible, we want to make sure we are going to be able to perform the services we offer to the best of our ability. During peak hours (10am-12pm and 3pm-5pm) please bear with us if we need to put you on hold to verify our availability (particularly with vehicle jobs).

LATE ORDERS
Please make sure there will be someone available to receive your package. If you are waiting till the last possible minute to call in a job, you need to consider the possibility that it might not happen, or that we might have to leave the package at the delivery location without someone signing for it.

 
RATES

• Regular hours of operation are 8am to 6pm, Monday - Friday.
• 2 hour service cost available until 4pm. 1 hour service available until 5pm.
• After 5pm, 15 or 30 minute service charges will apply.
• Out-of-town services after 5pm are not accepted.
• Late night charges apply after 6pm, and services after hours are subject to availability.
• Time parameters differ for deliveries farther than 50 miles from San Francisco.
• Vehicle deliveries larger than 70"x45"x30" or weighing more than 1500 lbs. require advance notice.
• All packages are automatically insured for up tp $100.00. Additional insurance may be purchased at time of order.
• Additional $3.00 for any package over 21" for bikes.
• Additional $.20/lbs for bikeable packages over 10 lbs, and any vehicle package over 25 lbs.
• Incorrect addresses will incur additional charges.
• Waiting time is $0.50 after first 5 min..
• Rates are subject to change without prior notice.
• All rates are based upon pick-up in San Francisco.
